Terms and Conditions of Use
KICPAA Membership System
Effective Date: 12 June 2026
By accessing or using the KICPAA Membership System, Mobile Application, and related services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
- Purpose
The KICPAA Membership System is provided to facilitate membership administration, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), billing and payment services, professional development activities, certificate management, and other member-related services offered by KICPAA.
- User Eligibility
Access to the Membership System is available to:
- KICPAA Members
- Applicants for Membership
- Authorized KICPAA Secretariat Staff
- Other users authorized by KICPAA
KICPAA reserves the right to approve, suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Membership System where appropriate.
- User Account
Each member is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their Member ID, password, and account information.
Members shall:
- Keep login credentials confidential
- Not share accounts with other persons
- Notify KICPAA of any suspected unauthorized access
- Ensure information provided to KICPAA is accurate and up to date
Members are responsible for activities conducted under their account.
- Accuracy of Information
Members are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted through the Membership System is accurate, complete, and current.
KICPAA may request supporting information or documentation to verify information submitted by members.
Providing false, misleading, fraudulent, or incomplete information may result in rejection of applications, suspension of services, or other actions deemed appropriate by KICPAA.
- Membership Assessment and Approval
The Membership System may provide recommendations regarding membership categories based on information submitted by applicants.
Such recommendations are for guidance purposes only.
Final membership approval, admission, upgrade, suspension, reinstatement, or other membership decisions remain subject to review and approval by KICPAA in accordance with the KICPAA By-Law, Membership Policy, and applicable regulations.
- CPD Records and Declarations
Members are responsible for ensuring that CPD declarations and supporting information submitted through the system are accurate and truthful.
KICPAA reserves the right to review, verify, approve, reject, or request additional supporting information relating to CPD activities and declarations.
- Billing and Payment
The Membership System may provide access to invoices, receipts, membership fees, CPD fees, training fees, and other charges.
Members are responsible for:
- Reviewing invoices issued to them
- Making payments by the required due dates
- Maintaining records of payment transactions
KICPAA reserves the right to suspend access to certain services where fees remain outstanding.
- Certificates and Documents
Certificates, invoices, receipts, membership records, CPD records, and other documents generated by the Membership System remain the property of KICPAA.
Members shall not alter, modify, misuse, falsify, or reproduce official KICPAA documents in a misleading manner.
KICPAA reserves the right to verify or revoke documents issued through the system where necessary.
- Professional Conduct
Members are expected to act professionally and ethically when using the Membership System and KICPAA services.
Members shall not:
- Use the system for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or information
- Interfere with system operations
- Upload harmful, malicious, or inappropriate content
- Misrepresent qualifications, experience, or membership status
- System Availability
KICPAA will make reasonable efforts to maintain the availability and functionality of the Membership System and Mobile Application.
However, access may occasionally be interrupted due to:
- Maintenance activities
- Technical issues
- System upgrades
- Internet service interruptions
- Cybersecurity incidents
- Events beyond KICPAA's reasonable control
KICPAA does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the system at all times.
- Intellectual Property
All content, information, software, designs, documents, certificates, materials, logos, trademarks, and resources contained within the Membership System remain the property of KICPAA or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
Users may access such materials solely for legitimate personal and professional purposes related to KICPAA membership.
- Privacy and Data Protection
The collection, use, storage, verification, and processing of personal information through the Membership System are governed by the KICPAA Data Protection and Privacy Notice.
By using the Membership System, members agree to the terms of the applicable Privacy Notice.
- Limitation of Liability
KICPAA will make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information and maintain secure and reliable services.
However, KICPAA shall not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss, damage, delay, interruption, unauthorized access, cyberattack, hacking incident, technical failure, data transmission issue, or other event beyond its reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted as creating any guarantee of uninterrupted service, complete security, or error-free operation.
- Modifications
KICPAA reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Updated versions may be published through the Membership System, Mobile Application, website, or other communication channels.
Continued use of the Membership System following such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
- Governing Documents
These Terms and Conditions shall be read together with:
- KICPAA By-Law
- Membership Policy
- CPD Policy
- Code of Ethics
- Other applicable KICPAA regulations, policies, and procedures
In the event of any inconsistency, the relevant KICPAA governing documents shall prevail.
